چکیده

The metal-rich Vazante-Paracatu Mineral Belt, in central Brazil, hosts the Zn-Pb sulfide Morro Agudo District Mesoproterozoic (1.3–1.1 Ga) upper carbonate sequence of Vazante Group. district is comprised deposit and Bento Carmelo, Sucuri, do Capão occurrences. This also Fagundes, Ambrósia Bonsucesso deposits (northern part) zinc silicate North Extension (southern part). structurally controlled, stratabound stratiform styles mineralization orebodies have been variably classified as sedimentary exhalative, Irish-type Mississippi Valley-type. In this study, laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) spot analyses sphalerite galena from revealed that red (interpreted last stage) has higher Fe Mn lower Bi, Co, Cu, Ge, Hg, Tl compared to other types sphalerite, whereas first generation (Gn-I) enriched Ag, Cd, Se depleted Cu relative later (Gn-II). paragenesis principal component analysis (PCA) ore mineral composition suggest Agudo, Sucuri mineralized zones formed by similar processes involving mineralizing fluids with various compositions, comprising two main elemental associations: (1) Fe, As, In, Mn, Sb, Ag; (2) Ga, Se. Carmelo distinguished PCA its unique dolomite-hosted elevated concentrations Hg likely distinct or processes. Temperatures for range 82 320 °C, calculated based on trace element sphalerite. compositions are consistent MVT deposits; however, fluid temperatures hotter than typical may reflect a geothermal gradient active advective flow during Brasiliano orogeny.

Indium Mineralization in a Sn-Poor Skarn Deposit: A Case Study of the Qibaoshan Deposit, South China

Indium (In) is commonly hosted in Sn-rich deposits but rarely reported in Sn-poor deposits. However, an In-rich and Sn-poor skarn deposit, the Qibaoshan Cu-Zn-Pb deposit, has been identified in south China. Geochemical analyses were undertaken on 23 samples representing the following mineral assemblages: sphalerite-pyrite, pyrite-chalcopyrite, pyrite-sphalerite-galena-chalcopyrite, pyrite, magn...

Impact of Zn–Pb mining in the Olkusz ore district on the Permian aquifer (SW Poland)

Long-term extensive mining of Zn-Pb ores in the Olkusz area resulted in significant changes of water table levels and chemical composition of water in all aquifers in this area. Within the Permian aquifer, hydrochemical type of water evolved in two general stages. Short-term effect was freshening in the zones of contact with overlying the Triassic limestones and dolomites. Long-term effect was ...

the role of carbonate-host rocks on the genesis of pb-zn deposits, northern thrust zone, kurdistan region, iraq

pb-zn deposits in the kurdistan region, northern iraq, have occurred mainly as a stratabound and open-space filling ore bodies. they are hosted by dolostone and dolomitic-limestone of platform carbonates. the ore deposits at the studied dure and lefan areas are respectively hosted by kurra chine (upper triassic) and bekhme (upper cretaceous) formations. pyrite, sphalerite and galena are the maj...
